Obituary of Christine Celia Mary van Lanen
Christine Celia Mary van Lanen was a caring partner, mother, oma, sister, neighbour and friend. She gained her wings on September 25, 2022, at the age of 62. Christine will be greatly missed by her partner Rick Maurice. Forever in the hearts of her girls Lindsay Barton and Markie (Yves) Savard. The memories of time with Oma will live on with Hunter Wright, Alyssa Savard and Brayden Savard. Christine was a wonderful sister to John (Sylvia), Marten (Gloria), Anne (Richard), Willie (Ans), Mary (Eric), Neil (Verna), the late Annette and Darlene (Pat). She now joins her parents Martineus & Elisabeth and her sister Annette in Heaven.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to all of the staff at the Welland Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital. Your kindness and care for Christine is appreciated.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 827 East Main Street, Welland on Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. Donations made to Niagara Health Foundation-Welland Site or St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton Foundation, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
