Burial Services

There are many options available to you when it comes to honoring and celebrating your loved ones life, and there are different elements you can choose from when arranging a burial. Whether it is formal or informal, traditional or simplified, what we have grown accustomed to or off the beaten path, a celebration in any form provides an opportunity for family and friends to gather and support each other in taking the first steps of their healing journey.

While some families prefer to have a simple direct burial with no celebration, others choose to have a full traditional visitation and funeral service prior to the burial. Another option is a graveside or committal service held at the cemetery or mausoleum which allows family and friends to be present as their loved one is transferred to his or her final disposition through burial.

For a burial you will need to select a casket and a cemetery and choose between a ground burial or entombment in a mausoleum. Because the grieving process does not end when the funeral service does and often times the services are just the first steps on the healing and recovery journey, it can be hard for the bereaved to return to their regular routines after the service is over.   Burial or entombment can give friends and family a permanent place to visit when they need help feeling connected to their loved one who has passed. It serves as a focus for their memory and provides a private space for reflection and peace. It can also serve as a location for family and friends to commemorate important occasions and can help make it easier to cope on meaningful dates like birthdays and anniversaries. As the years pass a permanent resting place or memorial can also become a link to the past for younger generations who may not have had the opportunity to meet the departed loved one during their lifetime.
