David James Dobrin

Obituary of David James Dobrin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David James Dobrin on November 21, 2023, at the age of 57. Loving father of Brittany Dobrin (Mike Iwanyszyn). Cherished grandfather of River, Ryerson & Rhett, and step grandfather to Maevyn & Mikey. Beloved brother of Danny Dobrin (Sue) & Dianne Leclair (Brent) and uncle to nephews Liam, Connor & Jeremy (Joanna) and niece Breanne (Brett). David will forever be in the hearts of his aunts Isabel (late John) Macleod & Irene (late Alfred) Concessi and former wife Linda Dobrin. He will be missed his many cousins and numerous close friends and of course his fur baby Sparton. Predeceased by his son Nicholas and his parents Daniel and Margaret Dobrin (née Deacon).

David to his friends and family will always be known as the traveler. He loved cruising. He would watch for the deals, and it didn’t matter which cruise line, where it was going, if it was a great deal, he was off. His numerous trips allowed him to meet new people on all his journeys many who he kept in touch with even now. He was never one to stay home, he loved to visit friends and family whenever he got out and about. His favourite thing was to spend time with his grandchildren. He loved to watch them play and grow and they will miss him dearly.

Arrangements have been entrusted to WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE. A graveside service will take place, Friday, December 8, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 712 Lakeshore Rd. Port Colborne, ON L3K 5V3. If desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
