Obituary of Gisèle Verreault
The Verreault family is deeply saddened to announce the death of Gisèle (née Turbide) Verreault on November 10, 2023, at the Foyer Richelieu. Cherished wife of the late Marc Verreault (2013). Beloved mother of Jean Guy (Sylvie), Solange (Gaëtan), Gilles, Lise (Réal), Joanne (Don), Richard (Tanya) and Francine (Jacques). Memère will be missed by her 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Gilbert (Annette), Marie Berthe Bourgeois (late André), and Laurette Turbide (late Lauréat). Predeceased by her parents Elzéar and Berthe Turbide, as well as her daughter France.
Gisèle loved music, gardening, word search and playing on the computer. She was a great mom where she was very devoted to her family, she raised eight children including two with cerebral palsy, she was a kind soul. She will be missed by her family and all her friends. Special thanks, to all the staff at Foyer Richelieu where they took excellent care of mom in her last days and also excellent care of all the needs of the family.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & RECEPTION CENTRE 827 East Main St., Welland on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 1p.m. until service time at 3p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Donations made to Alzheimer’s Society of Niagara in Gisèle’s honour, would be appreciated by the family.
