Obituary of June Beatrice Smith
It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of June Smith on Tuesday August 8, 2023, at the age of 85. Beloved mother of Albert (Barb) Guillemette, Beatrice Guillemette, Elaine (Andy) Thompson and Paul Guillemette. Dear grandmother of Gerard, Jaimie, Danielle, Clayton, Dilan, Melissa, Amy and Ashley and great-grandmother of Machare, Liam, Summer, Cody, Aleksander and Caden.
June was a very happy woman with a very spunky personality and always up for a great time. She loved attending the Wellness complex weekly for arts and crafts and bingo. June especially loved to colour and complete crossword puzzles. A devoted grandmother, June always enjoyed her visits with her grandchildren. She loved sitting on her front porch and making sure she got outside for her daily walks to keep healthy.
A special thank you to the kind and patient doctors and nurses at the Welland General hospital for their care during June’s last hospital stay.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE. A graveside service will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery on Saturday August 19, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Memorial donations made to McMaster Children’s Hospital, Juravinski Cancer Centre & the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
