Obituary of Albert Demers
Demers, Albert- Passed away peacefully on July 29, 2023 at Woodlands of Sunset at 92 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Anna (neé Legault). Loving father of Suzanne Cloutier (Laurier), Jacques, Diane Carter (Brian), Richard and the late Philippe. Always remembered by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Clara (Beaulieu) and Lorenzo Demers as well as his siblings; Ovila, Roger, Irene (Dumoulin), Romeo and Florian.
Albert was born in Lyster Station, Quebec on September 30, 1930. They were married in Welland on July 17, 1954, at Eglise du Sacre Coeur.
The family will receive family and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main Street, Welland on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 11AM-1PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 1PM. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre, Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
