Obituary of Linda Alice Gannon
GANNON, Linda Alice - Passed away peacefully at home on March 17, 2023, at the age of 62. Beloved companion and best friend of husband Robert Leveille. Mother of Xavier (Eden) and cherished Nana of grandson Daniel. She is survived by her mother Shirley, sisters Kathleen Nolet (Michel), Lisa Dagenais (Tony), Bonnie, Diane and Leila (Scott), and brothers Michael and Danny (Kathy). Linda was predeceased by her father James.
After earning her degree in Psychology/Social Work, Linda worked at various organizations throughout the Niagara area helping others, before retiring from the Niagara Region. Linda’s passions were physical fitness, hiking and travelling. Most mornings she could be seen walking along the path from Welland to Fonthill with her good friend Susan. She loved visiting various locations both inside and outside of Canada. Many happy days were spent in the Caribbean islands, Florida, Spain, Thailand and with friends in Ontario, Quebec, B.C. and New Brunswick. The family wishes to recognize and give a special thanks to Susan Eliason, Mirella Marischuk, Lynda Kis and Karen Little for their friendship, assistance, and support during Linda’s illness. Life was meant for good friends and great adventures.
At Linda's request cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE.
