Picard, Rita (née Nadeau) 1926 - 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Rita Picard (née Nadeau) on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Rapelje Lodge, at the age of 96 years old. Dear wife of the late Charles Picard. Loving mother of Real Sr. (Margaret). She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Real Jr. (Michelle), Katharine (Colin), Wolff and Bernadette, as well as her great-grandchildren Luca, Paisley, Julia, Taylor and Justin. Rita is survived by her sister Armande Thibault, her sister-in-law Gisele (Picard) Walters, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Denis (2008), as well as her parents Lydia and Clautaire Nadeau and sixteen brothers and sisters.
Arrangements have been entrusted to WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE. As per Rita’s wishes cremation has taken place, a private graveside service will take place at a later date. The Picard family wishes to thank all of the staff at Rapelje Lodge for the great care that Rita received. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
