Obituary of Paul Arseneau

We the family of Paul Arseneau, are greatly saddened to announce his passing on August 12, 2022, at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Diane (née Strasbourg) for 50 years. Cherished father of Roland (Mary) and Nancy (James). He will be sadly missed by his 2 grandchildren that he adored deeply; Evan and Emily.

Dear brother of Lovina Sivret, Rosella Boudreau (Laurent), Donalda Brideau (Gerard), Viola Boudreau, Elda Brideau, Clairmond Arseneau (Nicole), Delphis Arseneau (Heather) and sister-in-law Germaine Arseneau. He will also be missed by his mother-in-law Leonne Strasbourg, brother-in-law John (Diane), sister-in-law Denise, and his many nieces and nephews. 

Paul was predeceased by his parents Cyrille Arseneau and Marie-Rose Landry. His brothers and sisters Valmond Arseneau, Alma (Alexis Arsenenau), Augustin (Alexina Arseneau), Lucien Arseneau, Alexina (Emilior Noel), brothers-in-law Eugene Sivret, Rodolphe Brideau, Olla Boudreau, Roland Strasbourg and his father-in-law Martial Strasbourg.  

Paul was born and raised in Tracadie, New Brunswick. Once moving to Ontario, he spent many years working at the A&P and Food Basics grocery stores.

He had a passion for playing music since a young age and was an avid member of the Mandolin Orchestra. He volunteered his time playing at many senior’s homes to the delight of the residents and staff. He played many instruments including guitar, violin, mandolin and singing. When he played music, he would light up the room with all of his talents. Paul also loved motorcycles his entire life and enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson with his friends and family.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE. Keeping with Paul’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. As expression of sympathy donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
