Obituary of Larry Torresin

TORRESIN, Lawrence “Larry”

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Larry “Toro”, on May 28, 2022, in his happy place in Panama, at the age of 71.

Cherished soulmate of Huguette (née Perron). Beloved father of Tova (Dave). Dear stepfather of Michelle (Jason) and Lisa (Steven). Poppa will forever be in the hearts of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Larry will be missed by his sister Norma, nephew Bill, nieces Janet and Melanie along with their families, his "belle soeur" Norma, nephew Denis, niece Johanne, sister-in-law Denise, brother-in-law Rod, nieces Stephanie and Jessica, and their families. He will also be missed by his extended family in Canada and Italy, all the "Nasso" families, his best buddy Ange, his "North End Sherman Friends" and his Panamanian families. Predeceased by his parents Anthony and Lydia, and his brother Bernie.

Larry retired from the City of Hamilton after a successful career spanning 33 years. He lived a very active life. He loved sports, fishing, travelling to new places with Huguette and spending time with family and friends. He had a witty sense of humour and loved talking to everyone.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE. Keeping with Larry’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
