Obituary of Irene Roy
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dear mom, Irène Roy (née Dupras) at Foyer Richelieu at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Julien Veillette. Cherished mother of Jeanne (Guy) Jolin, Lucie (René) Faucher, Jacinthe (Richard) Clarke, Marianne (Gaston) Labbé, Isabelle (Peter) Murkin and Pierre (Karyn) Veillette. Irène will be sadly missed by her 11 grandchildren and her 8 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Rose (late Fernand) and her son Stéphane Leclair. Predeceased by her parents Émile & Félixine (née Poitras) and her siblings; Rosaire (Gisèle), Marcel (Huguette), Antoine (Huguette), André, Léon, Florès, Noella, Anne Marie and Thérèse.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 827 East Main Street, Welland on Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in honour of Irène, made to Alzheimer’s Society or the Canadian Cancer Society, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
