Obituary of Larry Roy
On Tuesday December 14, 2021 Larry Roy passed away peacefully, with family at his side, at the age of 88 years. He will always be lovingly remembered by his wife and friend, Ada Roy (nee Lowes), of 68 years who, over the years, he loved to travel, camp and dance with. Cherished father of Ken Roy, Darlene Goulet and Andrea Roy-Agro (Charles). His 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren will miss him greatly. He is survived by his sister Yvette (George) and predeceased by his parents; Conrad & Eveline Roy (nee Pelletier) and his 8 siblings. Larry will be in the hearts of all his family and friends, including many nieces and nephews, carrying fond memories of his humour, infectious laugh, playfulness, and singing and playing his guitar. He was a carpenter by trade and retired from INCO in Port Colborne. A special thank you to his Royal Rose family for their care, compassion, and keeping him smiling over the past 5 years.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Welland Funeral Home and keeping with Larry’s wishes, cremation has taken place with a private family gathering at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or to the Welland & District Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
