Obituary of Bernard Paul Joseph Demers
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bernard Demers on July 12th 2021 at the Welland Hospital at the age 89.
Loving husband of Marcelle (Naud) Demers for 70 years. Cherished father of Donald, Suzie, Francine, Lorraine (Terry Wright) and the late Claude. Dear brother of Benoit (Angelle) and half brother of Carmen (Aurel Girouard). Bernard will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Christopher, Jeffrey, Patrick, Michael, Julie, Dylan and Chantale and by great grand children Hailey, Nolan, Aubrey, Levi, Warren, Joel and Brielle. He was predeceased by his parents Hormidas and Lidia Demers, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main Street, Welland on Thursday, July 15th, 2021, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday at 11am in Paroisse du Sacre Coeur. Please call the Welland Funeral Home at 905 735 1883 to schedule your attendance at the Church. Those that attend are required to wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines. The funeral home’s capacity is at 25% and lining-up and cycling of guests will be managed by the funeral home staff both indoors and outdoors. A private family Inurnment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
