Obituary of Angela Di Cesare
It is with deep sadness, that our family announces the passing of our dear mother, Angela Di Cesare at the Welland Hospital on Saturday, July 10, 2021. Beloved wife of (late Antonio Di Cesare- 2017). Loving mother of Guido (Mary), Ben (Marisa) and Annamaria (John Behie). Beloved Nonna to Catherine, Gillian, Justine, Mark, Christopher, Leah, Benjamin, Erin and Great Grandmother to Vincent. She will be missed by brother Frank Guglielmi (Margaret), Tito Guglielmi (Ruth) and sister Bambina Ventresca (late Gelso Ventresca) and many nieces and nephews both in Canada and Italy. Predeceased by her parents Panfilo and Gina (née Leone) and brother Tony Guglielmi.
Angela was a member of the Saint Andrew The Apostle Roman Catholic Women’s League and Casa Dante Lodge. Family meant more to her than anything. She was the glue that kept us all together. Mom’s great love beside her family was cooking. Many memories of holiday feasts and family get togethers will last forever. She would never let you leave without packing you up with some food, preserves, something from the garden or her homemade apple pie.
Special thanks to the staff at Welland Hospital 4th floor and Woolcott Wing for their attentive care, all doctors, nurses, PSW workers, especially Maria, neighbours and Charlie who supported her.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main Street, Welland on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 9 a.m – 11 a.m. Private service will follow. Entombment will take place at Pleasantview Cemetery. In memory of Angela, donations to St Andrew the Apostle Church or One Foundation (Welland Site) would be appreciated by the family.
Dear Mom and Nonna. Thankyou for all you have done for us. A part of you will always be a part of us and a part of all the lives that you have touched. You will always be loved and remembered forever.
