Obituary of Marjolaine (Vaillancourt) Berry
C’est avec beaucoup de tristesse que la famille annonce le décès de Marjolaine Berry (née Vaillancourt) au Foyer Richelieu à Welland, le dimanche 2 mai, 2021, à l’âge de 87 ans. Tendre épouse de feu Edmond Berry et mère bien-aimée de Louise (Gary Mantysaari), Line (Hilaire Lafrenière), Gail (Pierre Labrie), Lorraine (Kim Lisicky) et Gilles (Hélène). Sa joie de vivre restera gravée dans la mémoire de ses petits-enfants, Sarah (Diego), Dana (Eric), André, Julie (Nadim), Éric (Rebecca), Marc, Jeremy, Alex, Diandra (Jordan) et ses arrières petits-enfants, Connor, Ethan, Mateo et Luna. Elle était la sœur de feu Rodolphe (feu Florence), feu Réjean (Lucille), feu Fernand (feu Joan), Simon (Marie-Claire), Armand (Claudette), feu Gaby (André), Ronald (Noëlla), Claude (feu Carmen) ainsi que la belle-sœur de Simonne Berry, Raymond et Mona Berry. Elle sera manquée par plusieurs nièces et neveux ainsi que ses amies, Jaqueline Filion, Denise Tessier, Marie Labelle et Avanelle Leblanc.
Marjolaine adorait passer son temps avec sa famille à son camp au Lac Tomiko. En plus, elle tricotait des bas pour ceux en besoin et tissait avec les membres du Cercle D’Artisanat. Elle était surtout passionnée à jouer aux cartes et aimait un bon café avec du Baileys. Un sincère remerciement au personnel du Foyer Richelieu Welland et au personnel de la résidence Seasons Welland pour les excellents soins qu’elle a reçus.
Les arrangements funéraires ont été confiés au Salon Funéraire de Welland et une célébration de sa vie aura lieu cet été à River Valley. Un don au Foyer Richelieu Welland ou à la Société Canadienne du Cancer sera grandement apprécié par la famille.

Loving wife of predeceased husband Edmond Berry and mother of Louise (Gary Mantysaari), Line (Hilaire Lafrenière), Gail (Pierre Labrie), Lorraine (Kim Lisicky) and Gilles (Hélène). Her love for life will be remembered by her grandchildren, Sarah (Diego), André, Dana (Eric), Julie (Nadim), Éric (Rebecca), Marc, Jeremy, Alex, Diandra (Jordan) and by her great-grandchildren, Connor, Ethan, Mateo and Luna. Dear sister of the late Rodolphe (late Florence), late Réjean (Lucille), late Fernand (late Joan), Simon (Marie-Claire), Armand (Claudette), late Gaby (André), Ronald (Noëlla), Claude (late Carmen) and sister-in-law of Simonne Berry, Raymond and Mona Berry. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, her dear friends Jaqueline Filion, Denise Tessier, Marie Labelle and Avanelle Leblanc.
Marjolaine adored spending time with her family at her camp on Lake Tomiko. She also knitted socks for those in need, was an avid weaver with le Cercle D’Artisanat. She was most passionate about playing cards and enjoyed a good coffee with Baileys. A sincere thanks to the staff at Foyer Richelieu Welland and Seasons Welland for the excellent care she received.
Funeral arrangements have been made with Welland Funeral Home and a celebration of life will be held in River Valley this summer. Donations to Foyer Richelieu Welland or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
