C'est avec grande tristesse que nous vous announçons le décès de Conrad Lemelin survenu le 5 décembre 2019 à l'âge de 71 ans. Il était le mari bien-aimé de Liliane (Tisi) Lemelin. Le père bien-aimé d'Anne Marie Lemelin (Chris Dalcourt) et de feu Jean-Luc Lemelin (2002). Né le 20 mars 1948, il était le fils de feu Andronic et de feue Fernande (née Bouchard). Il était le frère de feu Père André Lemelin. Il laisse dans le deuil sa soeur Christiane (feu Léo Nadeau) et plusieurs neveux et nièces. Il était le beau-frère de Diane Williams, de Michel et Joan Tisi et de Claudette et Guy Létourneau. Conrad a assuré quelques professions; il fut enseignant pendant de nombreuses années dans les écoles élémentaires francophones et anglophones. C'était un pêcheur passionné et c'est alorts qu'il est devenu un guide de pêche dans le ''Nord'' de l'Ontario. Il aimait beaucoup les sports spécialement jouer au squash. Il aimait aussi lire et jouer aux échecs.
La famille Lemelin accueillera parents et amis au SALON FUNÉRAIRE WELLAND, 827 rue Main Est, Welland le dimanche 8 décembre de 14h à 16h et de 18h à 20h. Des prières pour Conrad seront célébrées dimanche après-midi à 15h30 au salon funéraire. Les funérailles auronts lieu le lundi 9 décembre à la Paroisse Sacré-Coeur à 10h. L'inhumation suivra au cimetière de Holy Cross. En témoignage de sympathie pour Conrad, des dons peuvent être faits à la Paroisse Sacré-Coeur ou des messes à la mémoire de Conrad seront très appréciées.
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Conrad Lemelin on December 5, 2019 at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Liliane (Tisi) Lemelin for 44 years. Loving father of Anne-Marie Lemelin (Chris Dalcourt) and the late Jean-Luc Lemelin (2002). He was a wonderful and devoted grandfather to Madeleine Dalcourt and will be deeply missed. Conrad was predeceased by his parents Andronic and Fernande Lemelin (nee Bouchard) and his brother Father André Lemelin. He is survived by his sister Christiane Nadeau (the late Léo Nadeau) and many nephews and nieces. He was Diane Williams, Michel & Joan Tisi and Claudette and Guy Letourneau's brother-in-law. Conrad worked as a teacher for many years. He was an avid fisherman and worked as a guide in Northern Ontario. He loved playing squash & golf. He also enjoyed reading and a good game of chess.
The Lemelin family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, 827 East Main St., Welland on Sunday December 8, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be celebrated Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 9 in Paroisse Sacré-Coeur at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Paroisse Sacré-Coeur or masses in memory of Conrad would be appreciated.
