Dear Andrea,
You don't know me but I am very saddened to learn of your mother's passing. Every year around this time, I would accompany my dad (Mikie Blazetich) to the Welland Volunteer Fire Company #2's annual Christmas party, and we would be seated at a table at the Hungarian Hall, with your mom and dad, and Mr. Pihach and his son. She was a lovely person, easy to talk to and always dressed so beautifully. She was so proud of you too and, if I remember correctly, you were an excellent figure skater? And your dad, Andy-the-Tailor (as my father always referred to him), was another Crowland legend that helped to make that area of town prosperous. I will remember both of them together, laughing and chatting with everyone.
