Obituary of Lucy MacDonald

Obituary It is with broken hearts we announce the death of Lucy MacDonald on August 31, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Robert MacDonald (1994). Cherished mother of Michael (Linda) and Cindy (Sergio). She will be sadly missed by her 3 grandchildren; Katelyn, Jake and Carly. Also missed by her sister in law Nicole. Predeceased by her parents Joseph & Rose Alma Bisson (née Laverdière), brothers; Roland, Bruno and sisters; Edith, Monica, Brigitte and Madeleine. Lucy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards, having family gatherings and watching movies. She looked forward to her monthly lunches with her long-time friends. Thank you to Saint Elizabeth for their care and support. A very special thank you to Hospice Niagara, the staff were incredible. The nurses and the PSW’s were compassionate and supportive and made a stressful time into a time of peace where we could enjoy being with our Mom. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to WELLAND FUNERAL HOME. Keeping with Lucy's wishes cremation has taken place. The family will have a graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers as an expression of sympathy, donations to Hospice Niagara The Stabler Centre in St Catherine’s and Saint Elizabeth Health Care will be greatly appreciated by the family.
