Obituary of Madeleine Beauparlant

Madeleine Beauparlant who was born in Valleyfield, Quebec on May 15, 1925, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Le Foyer Richelieu in Welland at the age of 89. Her beloved husband Joseph Beauparlant predeceased her in 2007. Madeleine will be missed by many of her dear friends and relatives, as well as by her daughter, Lorraine Collins (Chris Bobinski) and by her son, Guy Beauparlant (Sandra Paton); her grandchildren Melanie Drljevic (Novak Drljevic), Marc A. Beauparlant, Ken Collins, Nathalie Collins (Rob Dalcourt). Madeleine will, of course, also be missed by her six great grandchildren: Seth, Alex, Masson, Pero, Adrijana and Ilija. Madeleine was an active member of the community and this includes; La Paroisse du Sacré-Coeur et la Chorale du Sacré-Coeur, a loyal companion to many, a volunteer for 20+ years at Le Foyer Richelieu, Cuistot-Cuisinière en chef (Scouts), member of Weight Watchers and YMCA & YWCA swim-fitness clubs, active outdoor and indoor fitness power walks with her dear friends throughout her lifetime. Madeleine's family would like to thank all staff and volunteers at Le Foyer Richelieu for the wonderful care, support and understanding, which they have provided during the last few years. The compassion and love they have towards Madeleine was sincere and heartfelt. Special thanks to acknowledge all who appreciate Madeleine's gift of song and love of music. We are grateful to many for their prayers and touching tribute of love songs to pay homage in their very special way. It can be easily said that the gift of song and of music is what Madeleine gave to us all during her lifetime. Her exuberant joy during those musical moments will long continue to be with us all, for sure. Funeral Details In accordance with Madeleine's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Welland Funeral Home 827 East Main Street, Welland, Friday, January 16th, 2015 from 7-9. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17th, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Église Sacré Coeur 72 Empire St., Welland. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be appreciated by the family. Madeleine loved deeply, and was loved deeply by many.
