Obituary of Rita Dionne

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Rita (Dupont) Dionne at the Welland Hospital on January 18th, 2015 at the age of 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Desiré Dionne. Loving mother of Marcel (Céline), Colette Lamontagne, Nicole LeBelle (David Baiano), Chantal Dionne all of Welland and Claude (Hélène) of Gatineau, Québec. Dear sister of Jeannine (Armand Boivin) of Welland, Jean Paul and Pauline both of Québec. She will be sadly missed by her 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Ernest and Federa Dupont, brothers; Edgar, Adrien and Guy and sister Gertrude Boulanger. Rita was born in Rivière Bleue Témiscoata, Québec in 1920 and moved to Welland in 1940 where she remained a resident of the city. C'est avec grande tristesse que notre famille annonce le décès de Rita (née Dupont) à l'âge de 95 ans à l'Hôpital de Welland, le dimanche, 18 janvier 2015. Elle était l'épouse de feu Désiré Dionne. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Marcel (Céline), Colette Lamontagne, Nicole LeBelle (David Baiano), Chantal Dionne, tous de Welland, et Claude (Hélène) de Gatineau, Québec. Ainsi que ses frères et soeurs: Jeannine (Armand Boivin) de Welland, Jean Paul Dupont et Pauline Dupont de Québec. Rita tenait très proche de son coeur ses 10 petits-enfants et 15 arrières-petits-enfants. Elle est prédécédée par ses parents Ernest et Fédéra Dupont, ses frères; Edgar, Adrien et Guy et sa soeur Gertrude Boulanger. Rita est née à Rivière-Bleue Témiscoata, Québec en 1920 et déménagea à Welland en 1940, d'où elle restera une résidente. Funeral Details In accordance with Rita's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Welland Funeral Home, 827 East Main Street, Welland, Wednesday, January 21st, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, January 22nd at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations by cheque may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. La famille reçevra parents et amis pour une visite avec ses cendres au Salon Funéraire Welland 827 rue Main Est, Welland, le mercredi, 21 janvier 2015 de 14 h à 16 h et aussi de 19 h à 21 h. Les funérailles auront lieu le jeudi, 22 janvier à 11 h en chapelle au salon funéraire. L'inhumation sera au cimetière Holy Cross.
