Obituary The family announces with deep sorrow the passing of Lena (nee Bilotta) Mete at Bella Senior Care on Monday, September 23rd in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Joe Mete (2006) for 51 years. Beloved mother of Frances (Cosimo) Bonazza, Tony ( Josie) Mete and Pat (Fran) Mete. Forever cherised by her 7 grandchildren; Cosimo, Vincent (Bailey), Josephine (John), Dillon, Carley, Thomas, Nicholas and 4 great-grandchildren; Mia, Sophia, Luca and Zoe. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Survived by her sisters-in-law Mary Bilotta, Carol Bilotta and Yolanda Mete. Predeceased by her parents Theresa and Antonio Bilotta and by her siblings; Ruth (Ralph) Nero, Christopher, Jimmy, Frankie (Barb) Bilotta, Theresa (Frank) Caputo and her brother-in-law Frank Mete and her father and mother-in-law Antonio Mete and Anna Rocco. A Special thank you to all staff at Bella Senior Care for their amazing care and love showed to Lena. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main St., Welland on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrews Apostle Church on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. The Rite of Commital will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be appreciated by the family.
