Obituary of Solange Desharnais

DESHARNAIS, Solange - After a brief and courageous battle with cancer, Solange (Tanguay) Desharnais passed away at the St. Catharines Hospital on February 5th, 2016 at the age of 65 years. Devoted wife of Denis Desharnais. Loving mother of Richard Ladouceur (Shirley) and Liza (Phil McPherson). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Sheriece St. Amand, Sky Ladouceur, Ian McPherson, Austin Ladouceur, Shelby Broughton and Hannah McPherson. Dear sister of Michelle (Roger Couture) and Lizette (Yves Simard). Sister-in-law of Diane Furry and Ivon Desharnais. Predeceased by her parents Adrian and Florence (Turcotte) Tanguay and 1 brother Florent Tanguay. Solange retired from many years at GDX and enjoyed spending her winters with Denis in Newport Richie, Florida. Funeral Details In accordance with Solange's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at Église du Sacré Coeur on Wednesday, February 17th, 2016 at 10 a.m. Inurnment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
