Obituary of Gaëtan Corriveau

After a courageous battle with cancer, Gaëtan Corriveau passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 28th, 2016 with his family at his side. Loving and devoted husband of 60 years to Henriette (Coulombe). Cherished father of Guy (Joyce Kurylo), Patrick (Lise Bernard) and Jerrine (Gilles Dalcourt). Dear brother of Reginald (Gloria), Roch (Nicole), Suzanne Lejeune (the Late Raynald) and Gisèle (Nelson Toulouse). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Robert (Natalie), Déric (Amanda), Ashlee, Megan, Mathieu and great grandchildren Stéphan, Justin, Alex and Mason. Predeceased by his parents Liboire and Marie Ange Corriveau. Gaëtan was known to have a wonderful sense of humor. He dedicated 35 years of his working life as a General Manager for Canadian Tire. In accordance with Gaëtan's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, 827 East Main Street Welland on Friday, October 7th, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 8th, 2016 at Église Sacré Coeur at 10 a.m. Inurnment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery at 50 Woodlawn Rd., Welland. As expressions of sympathy, donations by cheque to the Canadian Diabetes Association will be greatly appreciated.
