MATTIE - Thérèse It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of our mom Thérèse (Martel) Mattie at Niagara Health System, St. Catharines Site on Sunday, October 2nd, 2016 at the age of 85. Dearly loved mother of Diane Tobias (Earl), Claire Mattie (Serge), Ronald Mattie (Joanne), Anita Rousson (Donald), Lynn Mattie, Pauline Mattie (Nigel) and Louise Mattie. Cherished grandmother of Allan, Michael, Daniel, Chad, Ronnie-Kay, Kimberley, Nathan, Julie, Kelly and Christina. Proud great grandmother of 12 great grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by her sisters Yollande Labrie and Rita Collins. Predeceased by her parents Aimé and Eugénie Martel and many siblings. In accordance with Thérèse's wishes, cremation has taken place. Nicheside service will be held on Saturday, October 8th, 2016 at 12 p.m. in Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations in lieu of flowers may be made by cheque to Women's Place in Welland, would be appreciated by the family.
