Obituary of Raymond Mercier

It is with extreme sadness the family of Raymond Mercier announce his passing on October 19th, 2016 at the Welland Hospital at the age of 54 years. Cherished son of Diana (Rainville) Mercier (Lionel Lapointe) and the late André Mercier (1984). Devoted father of Kristen and Nicole. Loving brother Denis (Teresa) Mercier and Carole Mercier (Kim Bell). Raymond will be sadly missed by his 2 nieces Meagan (Jason) King & Miranda (Kyle) Brown, his 2 great nieces Paisley & Tessa King, step siblings Richard (Linda) Lapointe, Mitch (Lee) Lapointe, Lianne (Curt) Smith, step nieces Keylee, Helena and godson Jacob. Raymond will be fondly remembered by his aunts, uncles, many cousins and Patricia Mercier. Raymond worked as a heavy machine operator for Union Local 793 for many years. In accordance with Raymond's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, 827 East Main Street, Welland, Monday, October 24th, 2016 from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
