Obituary of Paul Guenette

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our father Paul Guenette at the age of 85, on December 25th 2016, at Plymouth Cordage. Back in the loving arms of his wife Ruth Guenette (Labonté). Loving father of Linda (Keith Steacy), Jacques (Jennifer MacDougall) and Eric Guenette. Cherished grandpa of Véronique (Adrien Allard), Patrick, Stephane, Melanie, Crystal, Weston, Sebastian and Emily. Dear brother of Marcel (Lise) Guenette, Roland Guenette, and André Guenette. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and life long friends John and Irene Hine. Paul is predeceased by his father Donat Guenette, mother Maria Moyaert and siblings Wilfred Guenette and Simone Toutain. Paul was a member and huge supporter of the Canadian Amateur Swimming Association, a member of the Dunnville Mudcats (family camping) and loved to spend time making wine. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who know him. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Welland Funeral Home 827 East Main Street, Welland on Monday January 2nd, from 12 p.m.- 3 p.m. with funeral service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 3p.m. with Father Vijay Amirtharaj, CSC from The Parish Community of St. Kevin's Church officiating. As an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations by cheque to the Arthritis Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
