Obituary of Ralph Mannella

It is with profound sadness the family of Ralph Mannella announce his passing at the Welland Hospital on Wednesday, January 11th, 2017 a few days short of his 94th birthday. Cherished husband of Elizabeth (Degazio) Mannella. He leaves behind his two nieces Angie Pisani (Tony) and Bruna Myciak (Joe), great nephews Alexander (Jody), Nicholas, Stephen, Danny, Frankie, Frankie, Johnny and great-great niece and nephew Anastasia & Jaeden. Ralph will be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Carmella Degazio. Ralph was predeceased by his parents Bruno and Angelarosa (Dominelli) Mannella, his brother Louis Mannella, brothers-in-law Dominic Degazio and Bruno Degazio, his sisters-in-law Maria Mannella, Rita Degazio, and Mary Degazio. Born in Serra S. Bruno, Italy in 1923, Ralph came to Canada in 1926 and made his home in Welland in 1948 where he worked at GenCorp for over 30 years. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main Street, Welland on Friday, January 13th, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Vigil prayers at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew the Apostle Church on Saturday, January 14th, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. The Rite of Committal will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery.
