Obituary of Clarisse Maurice

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clarisse Maurice in her 66th year on January 16th at N.H.S. Extended Care Unit in Welland. Cherished sister of Remi (Anne) Maurice, Clermont (Yvonne) Maurice, John (Ann) Maurice and Marcel (Mona) Maurice. Beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Yvette (nee. Bilodeau) Maurice and brothers Réal and Laurent Maurice. A special thank you Cathy and Michael for your love and support for Clarisse and to the doctors, nurses and staff at Extended Care Unit in Welland for their excellent care during Clarisse's stay. Clarisse was a previous member on the Board for Foyer Richelieu and sometimes taught bookkeeping related courses at Niagara College. She had a special place in her heart for all animals. In keeping with Clarisse's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main St., Welland on Monday, January 30th, 2017 from 1 until service time at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in memory of Clarisse may be made to Fond Foyer Richelieu, Welland Hospital Auxiliary Dialysis Centre or Welland & District Humane Society.
