Obituary of Ruth Lemay

On January 16th, 2017 at the age of 78, Anne Lemay passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years George Lemay and beautiful daughter Marianne Nicholls. Loving mother of George (Ellen), Cathy (Greg), Rick (Karen) and son-in-law Randy Nicholls. Cherished grandmother of Carrie (Adam), Shannon (Ryan), Ryan (Marcella), Troy, Scott (Talitha), Brett (Maddy), Alisha (Ben), Breanne (Addison) and Angela (Cody). Loving great grandmother of Easton, Carson, Kamden and Bradley. She was predeceased by her parents Ralph and Beatrice Pilon (Robitaille), parents-in-law Hermenegilde and Marthe Lemay (Richard), sister Anita Pilon, sisters-in-law Nicole Pilon, Juliette Gosselin, Margaret Beauparlant, Lina Belanger, Marg Lemay, Claudette Asselin, brothers-in-law Marcel Loiselle, Rosaire Gosselin and Rolland Asselin. Anne will be greatly missed by her sisters Joyce Kukoly (Andy), Linda Loiselle, June St. Pierre (Reg), brother Leonard Pilon (Madeleine), sisters and brothers-in-law; Lucienne Gosselin (Andre), Yvette Gosselin, Jules Lemay, Clemence Kurcz (Keith), Noel Lemay (Sue), Gerard Lemay (Lois), Paul Lemay (Micheline), Rene Beauparlant and Simon Belanger. Anne was born in Penetanguishene, Ontario and moved to Welland where she remained a longtime resident. She was a member of Saint Augustine Parish, choir and Catholic Women's League. She was a resident of Rapelje Lodge where she enjoyed singing and listening to the oldies. The family would like to thank the staff at Rapelje Lodge for all their great care. In keeping with Anne's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main Street, Welland ON., Friday, January 20th, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 21st., 2017 at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens. In memory of Anne donations by cheque can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to Rapelje Lodge.
