Obituary of Antonio Di Cesare

Surrounded by the love of his family, Anthony passed away on April 13th, 2017. Beloved husband of Angela (nee Guglielmi) for 64 years. Loving father of Guido (Mary), Ben (Marisa) and Annamaria (John Behie). Beloved Nonno to Catherine, Gillian, Justine, Mark, Christopher, Leah, Benjamin and Erin. Predeceased by his parents, Guido and Lucia (Fabrizi) and sisters, Maria (Alberto D’Angelo) and Emma (Umberto Capparucci). He will be missed by his two sisters Onelia (Pietro Angeloantoni) of Sulmona, Italy and Eva (Arturo Battistessa) of Pescara, Italy. Also survived by brothers-in-law Frank Guglielmi (Margaret), Tito Guglielmi (Ruth), Tony Guglielmi and sister-in-law Bambina Ventresca (late Gelso Ventresca) and many nieces and nephews. Anthony was involved with the Coro Folcoristico of Welland and Niagara Falls, also a member of the Italian Alpine Club of Welland and Casa Dante Lodge. Special thanks to the staff at Welland Hospital 6th floor and Woolcott Wing for their attentive care. Thank you to Dr. Kouros for his care and compassion. Friends are invited to visit the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, 827 East Main St., Welland on April 17th, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with vigil prayers at 8:45 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew the Apostle Church on April 18th, 2017 at 10:30 a.m, entombment to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
