Obituary of Giulio Lostracco

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Giulio Lostracco on June 2nd, 2017 at the age of 50. Cherished son of Pasquale and Maria (Bevilacqua) Lostracco. Dear brother of Robert (Shawna) and Patrick (Lindsay). He will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews Hilary, Jeremy, Jackson, Isabella and Andrew who meant the world to him. Giulio was born in Sulmona (Torre dei Nolfi), Italy and moved to Welland with his family at a young age. He established himself in Welland and worked for many years at GM Motors and just recently at David Chev Olds. He developed a passion and love for Motorsports. He could often be found enjoying races at Merrittville Speedway and Cayuga Speedway. He owned many hot rods during his life and was always willing to lend a hand to fellow racers...he had a real "Need for Speed" The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main Street, Welland, Monday, June 5th, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew the Apostle Church on Tuesday, June 6th, 2017 at 1 p.m. Rite of Committal will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Canadian Mental Health Association Niagara or Heart & Stroke Foundation will be appreciated by the family.
