Obituary of Lauréat Turbide

It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of Lauréat Turbide at the Welland Hospital on June 24th, 2017. Beloved husband of Laurette (Lacroix). Devoted father of Claude (Heather), Marc, Diane and Nancy. Pépé will be sadly missed by his 7 grandchildren; Derek, Kevin, Michael, Scott, Stéphanie, Jennifer and Kayla and 3 great grandchildren; Corey, Landan and Piper. Dear brother of Raynald (the Late Dottie), Gilbert (Annette), Gisèle (the Late Marc Verreault) and Marie Berthe (André Bourgeois). He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Elzear and Berthe (Chiasson) Turbide, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Lauréat was a 4th degree Knight and an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2146, Welland. He enjoyed camping and fishing and was passionate about Cribbage. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, 827 East Main Street, Welland, Wednesday, June 28th, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 29th, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Paroisse Sacré Coeur, 72 Empire St., Welland. Cremation will follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Lung Association will be appreciated by the family. Service Information
