Obituary of Domenic Silvestri

It is with broken hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Domenic Silvestri on July 16th, 2017 at the age of 60. Devoted father of Vanessa, Eric and Jenna. Loving grandpa of Alexander. Dear brother of Erigio and Joseph. He will be sadly missed by his partner Karen Shields and her daughter Keely, as well as his former spouse and mother of his children Kathy Silvestri. Predeceased by his parents Guido (1999) and Consiglia (nee Ventresca)(2017). Domenic owned Meco's Pizza Parlour for 20 years, where he supported many local sports teams. Domenic retired a few years ago, and has since continued his joy for cooking and spending time at the beach. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main St., Welland on Sunday, July 23rd, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday, July 24th, 2017 from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. with a procession to St. Andrew the Apostle Church for a Funeral Mass at 12 p.m. Rite of Committal will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the YMCA of Niagara or The Heart and Stroke Foundation will be appreciated by the family.
