Obituary of Victor St.Cyr

At the Rapelje Lodge, with his loving family at his side on September 12, 2017, Victor St. Cyr passed away peacefully at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Béatrice (née Vallée). Cherished father of Gérard ''Gerry'' (Annette). Dear brother of Bertrand (Carmen), Lucien (the late Monique), Edmond (Charlotte), Dolores, Alice (Jean Levesque), Yvette Payeur (the late Michel) and brother-in -law Roger Croteaux. He will be sadly missed by his 3 grandchildren; Sean St. Cyr, Corey St. Cyr and Jeremy St. Cyr. Predeceased by his parents Ferdinand and Alice (née Côté), his son Lawrence ''Larry'' St. Cyr and his sister Jeanne Croteaux. Victor was born in Coleraine, Quebec in 1927 and moved to Welland at a young age. He settled in Welland and worked for over 40 years as Chief Operator at Cyanamid. His was a member of the Welland Hockey Association, enjoyed his weekly Cribbage League at the Temple Club and was co-owner of 4500 Taxi. A special thanks to the staff at Rapelje Lodge for their continuous compassion and care during Victor's 4 years of residence. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, 827 East Main Street, Welland on Saturday, September 16th, 2017 from 11 a.m. until funeral service at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cremation will follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer's Society will be appreciated by the family.
