Obituary of Julienne Lapointe

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Julienne (Boutin) Lapointe at the Niagara Health System-Welland site on October 18th, 2017 at the age of 94. Devoted wife of 72 years to Paul Lapointe. Cherished mother of Michel (Marie), Gaston (Lise), Gilles (Jeannette), Denise (David), Lise, Carolle (the late Gordon), daughter-in-law Diane (Del). Dear sister of Hervé (Yvette), René (the late Thérèse), Madeleine (the late Raymond), Geneviève (the late Dollard), Jeanne D’Arc (the late Richard). She will be sadly missed by her 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Richard, her parents Apollinaire and Philomène, her sister Laurette (Alyre) and brother Roland (Blanche). She enjoyed knitting pantouffles for the family, sewing, playing cards and cooking for very large family gatherings. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main Street, Welland, Sunday, October 22nd, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Paroisse Sacré Coeur on Monday, October 23rd, 2017 at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow.
