Obituary of Bertrand Dumais

At the Woolcott Wing of Welland Hospital on November 29th, 2017, Bertrand Dumais passed away with his niece Linda at his side at the age of 92. Beloved husband of the late Rita (nee Grenier). Dear brother of Aurilien Dumais and Luc Dumais. He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Adélard and Marianna (nee Gagnon) Dumais and his brothers and sisters. Bertrand was born in St. Antoine de Padoue, Québec in 1925 and moved to Welland with his parents at a young age. He worked for many years as an inspector for Welland Forge. The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME 827 East Main St., Welland on Friday, December 1st, 2017 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at Église Sacré Coeur 72 Empire St., Welland. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to OneFoundation for Niagara Health System-Walker Family Cancer Centre will be appreciated by the family.
