TRUDEL, Gisèle, A. *(née Rochefort) 1931 ~ 2017 With great sadness, the families of the late J Oscar & Clementienne (née Barrette) Rochefort and Trudel families announces the passing of Gisèle A. Trudel (née Rochefort) on Friday, December 08, 2017, at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 86. Devoted wife of 61 years of Claude Trudel, of Welland, Ontario, Loving mother of Marie-Claude (née Trudel) Rogers of Pointe-Claire, QC. Cherished Grandmother of Anne and Yannick Rogers, Born In Astorville, Ontario, Gisèle moved from the North Bay area in the early 1960’s to Fort Erie, ON and later relocating to Welland, Ontario. She held a teaching certificate and a Master degree in Fine Arts. She completed 35 + years of teaching at the primary and secondary levels in Welland, and North Bay, Ontario prior to her retirement, Pre-deceased by parents, J. Oscar and Clementienne (née Barrette) Rochefort, and brothers, Dr. J-M Rochefort, and Gerald Rochefort. Survived by: ~ Ghislaine (née Rochefort) & George Parent, of Bowmanville, ON ~ Jacques A Rochefort, of St. Catharines, ON ~ Dr. Guy Rochefort & Ann of Chateauguay, QC ~ Oscar D. Rochefort, of Welland, ON ~ Several nieces and nephews. Gisele will be missed by many friends, In accordance with Gisèle's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family invites relatives and friends to join them at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, 827 East Main St., Welland on Thursday, December 14th, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. at Église Sacré Coeur. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
