Obituary of Irene Robert
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Irene Robert (née Latulippe) on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Niagara Falls General Hospital. Irene was the beloved wife of Marcel Robert and a devoted mother to Marcel Jr. (Myrna), David (April), and Marc (Stephanie). She will be forever cherished by her seven grandchildren: Ryan, Eric, Sarah (Marc), Rebecca, Jenna, Emma, and Claire, as well as her great-grandchild, Charlie. She will be missed by many nieces & nephews and her fur baby Mindy. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Jeannette Latulippe, grandson baby George and her two sisters, Jacqueline Doucet and Thérèse Grenier. Irene’s legacy of love and kindness will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
Irene and Marcel’s love endured for 62 years of marriage. Together they loved being parents to three boys and treated their daughter in laws, including Mary as cherished daughters. She recently experienced her bucket list trip to Hawaii with her loving goddaughter Linda.
Irene held her friendships including her past coworkers, Curve Girls, neighbours, Euchre friends and many more, dear to her heart.
The family invites relatives and friends to join them in honouring Irene at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main St., Welland, on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A chapel service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 28thwith inurnment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
