Obituary of Carl Michaud
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carroll “Carl” Michaud on November 18, 2024 at the age of 79. Dear brother to Paulette (late Paul) Tremblay and Ronald (late Simone). Carl will be missed by many nieces and nephews; Gaston, Diane (Steve), Michael (Nancy), Donna, Michelle and great nieces and nephews; Amber, Kyle, Michael, Serina, Amanda, Alyssa, Aspen, Ava and Tyson. Predeceased by his mother, Bertha and brother George.
Carl loved camping and was known as the “Mayor of Byng Park”. Carl spent over 30 years at the campground swimming, fishing and enjoying a cold beer around the campfire with friends and family.
Many thanks to the staff at Maple Park Lodge in Fort Erie for their caring and kind attention during his final years. A special heartfelt thank you to the nursing staff at Niagara Falls Hospital and the Palliative Care Team for their exceptional care and support extended to both Carl and his family during his time there.
The family will receive relatives and friends for a time of remembrance and sharing memories of Carl at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main St., Welland, on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. A chapel service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Parkinson Canada and Diabetes Canada in Carl’s memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.
