Obituary of Albert Joseph Seguin
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Albert Joseph Seguin, on October 30th, 2024. Born in Welland Ontario on November 12, 1962, Al as he was fondly known, was a beloved son of the late Albert and Frances (West) Seguin, a cherished brother to Debbie Bones (Doug), Tina Breton (Mike), and Terri, and an amazing uncle to Brittny, Heather, Justin, Jesse, and Allie (Gordon). He also held a special place in his heart as a great uncle to Aaliyah and George.
Al’s warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A true sports enthusiast, Al found great joy in cheering for the Montreal Canadiens, sharing his love of music, and making lasting memories with his buddies. Al will be sadly missed by his Tuesday golf league group and many workers and friends at Thundering Water’s golf course (his favourite spot to golf). Those who knew him often described him as "happy-go-lucky," a testament to his infectious spirit and positivity.
Family was everything to Al, and he cherished the time spent with them, especially during Thanksgiving this year when they all gathered together. His legacy of love, laughter, and camaraderie will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
Al Seguin will be remembered not only for his vibrant personality but also for the profound impact he made on all who knew him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love he so freely gave.
The Welland Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre is honored to be entrusted with following Al’s wishes.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Al’s memory on Saturday, November,16 between 1pm and 4pm at the Fallsview Hose Brigade Hall, located at 5786 Dunn Street, Niagara Falls, Ontario where family and friends can come together to share stories, reminisce, and celebrate the impact he had on all of our lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Autism Ontario. This thoughtful gesture will help support a cause that was meaningful to Al and his family.
