Obituary of Anna Gervasio
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the death of a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, sister-in-law and friend, on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at the age of 75. Beloved wife of the late Andrea Gervasio (2020). Loving mother of the late Tony (2019) (Jeanette), Marco (Elizabeth), and Claudio (Silvana). She will be missed by her 7 grandchildren: Andrew, Bianca (Michael Commisso), Lucas, Jordan, Joshua, Giuliana, Matteo, and 1 great-grandchild Antonio. Anna will also be missed by Frances, Jackson, Megan and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Antonio & Elena Cringoli and brothers Gaetano and Michelantonio.
Special thanks to the St. Catharines Oncology staff, Dr. Phillips, all PSW’s, V.O.N., Nurse Practitioners, Ontario Health at Home (Lori Healey), Dr. Carle and staff, and the volunteer drivers from Wheels of Hope that drove Anna to and from her many doctors’ appointments. We are also grateful to all our family and friends for the help and support you have provided to our family during Anna’s final days.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main St., Welland, on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 31 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 4 St. Andrews Ave., Welland. Entombment to follow at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations made to Hospice Niagara would be greatly appreciated by the family.
