Obituary of Mary Magdalen Besaw-Clegg
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Besaw-Clegg (née Hall) on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the Trinity Village Care Center in Kitchener, ON. Cherished partner of Albert Ford. Beloved mother of Terrence (Donna), Darlene (George Wellman), Neil (Carol), & Dale (Mel Yungblut). Dear stepmother to Steven. Mary was deeply loved by her grandchildren Christa, Leah, Jennifer, Jakob, Kyley, Michaela and Caitlin. Forever in the hearts of her great-grandchildren Violet, Isabella, Dakota, and Amaya. Treasured sister of Arnold, Bryce, Junior, Michael, Patsy, Rita, Glenda, and Helen. Predeceased by her loving parents, Hugh and Mildred Hall (née Collier), her sister Leila Copeland, and her brothers Alban & Neil Hall.
Mary enjoyed simple pleasures such as having supper on the beach and picking berries with her family. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and compassion. Her interests included traveling and reading, which she embraced with passion.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main St., Welland, on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Society of Niagara, in Mary’s memory.
