Obituary of Marie Jeanne Champagne

Marie Jeanne Champagne (née Brochu) passed away on February 14, 2024, at 102.5 years young. She now joins her husband Romeo in eternal life. Beloved mother of Caroline Paquette Charrois (André), Juliette Nolet (Denis), and Marcel (Elsie). She will be dearly missed by her; daughter-in-law Nancy, 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, brothers, and sisters, her sons; Denis, Yvon, Roger (Denise Bernard), Patrick, and Real, son-in-law Lawrence Paquette, grandson Jamie Harris, great-granddaughter Sarah Dostie, and great-grandson Dylan Upper.

A special thank you goes to the Palliative Care team and Personal Support Workers that helped care for Marie Jeanne.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & RECEPTION CENTRE 827 East Main St., Welland on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 2-4p.m. & 6-8p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 11a.m. at Église Sacré-Coeur 72 Empire Street, Welland. Cremation to follow. Interment will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Fonds Foyer Richelieu or Église Sacré-Coeur would be appreciated by the family.
