Obituary of Myrna Lynn Houston
It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of Myrna Houston (née Christie) on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the age of 71. Cherished mother to Aaron and Tyler (Melinda). Always in the heart of her loving stepfather Tim Healy. Myrna took immense pride in her role as a grandmother, cherishing her grandchildren Kaleb, Dylan, Chloe, Chase, and Colson. Dear sister to Eva (Dave) Ayers, Debbie Tootle and Suzanne Palmer. Myrna will be deeply missed by her furry friends Merle and Cooper. Predeceased by her mother Donna (née Davis) and her precious cat Felix.
Myrna's love for Elvis Presley was evident in many aspects of her life, including the naming of her first son, Aaron. As a single mother, she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her sons, making countless sacrifices to provide them with every opportunity. She ensured they could pursue their passions, particularly their love for hockey, and showered them with affection and gifts. Myrna will always be remembered as the "coolest mom ever," known for her kindness, generosity, and willingness to let her boys enjoy video games before school.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE. In accordance with Myrna's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor and remember Myrna's remarkable life.
