Obituary of Kevin Doucet

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kevin Doucet on January 22, 2024, at the age of 54. Kevin was a cherished son to Sandra (Ron Chickowski) and dear brother to Leonard Doucet and Kelly (Phil) Anderson. He left this world surrounded by the love of his family.

Kevin will be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews: Brooke Dion, Emma Boland Jasmine Doucet, Jonathan Doucet, and Matthew Anderson. He was predeceased by his dad, Jean-Claude Doucet.

Kevin's love for hockey was a passion he shared with his uncles, creating cherished memories. Known for his kindhearted nature, Kevin dedicated his time to helping the homeless at the Hope Centre. His generosity knew no bounds, as he would selflessly give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Kevin was a familiar face to many, and his extensive network of friends reflected his warm and sociable personality. He seemed to know half of Welland, leaving an indelible mark on the community.

Family and friends are invited to join a memorial gathering at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main Street, Welland, on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 11a.m.-1p.m. Cremation to follow.  Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date. The family kindly requests that those who wish to express sympathy consider making a donation to The Hope Centre in Kevin's memory.
