Obituary of Edna Joanis

Edna Joanis (née Turpin) passed away on January 8, 2024, at the age of 92 at the Welland Extended Care Unit. Beloved wife the late Hector Joanis (1993). Forever in the hearts of her two children, Helen Deslauriers (Bob) and Guy (Heather). Cherished sister of Marcel (Nancy). Loving grandmother to Geoffrey (Lehann), Tammy (Jim), Alysia and Bryce and to six great-grandchildren. Edna was predeceased by her son Roger, and her parents Alcide and Raymond, as well as her siblings.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION & RECEPTION CENTRE 827 East Main St., Welland on Saturday, January 20, 2024, from 10am to 12pm. Vigil prayers to follow at 12pm with a private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In memory of Edna, donations made to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
