Obituary of Leon Paul Doucet
“Gone Fishing”
October 2, 1938- January 30, 2021
Peacefully at home, with family by his side after a short battle with cancer. Leon P. Doucet was in his 82nd year of life. Beloved husband of Réjeanne (née Rodrigue) Doucet. Dear father of Leon Junior (Joanne), Louis (Bonnie), Paul and Brigitte (Todd). He will be sadly missed by 10 grandchildren; Chuck, Leeanne, Rocky, Serge, Justin, Jesse, Brandie Lee, Jake, Drake, Britney and 10 great-grandchildren & 1 great-great Grandchild; Baby David. Dear brother of René (Alice), Jack (Bonnie), Kaboss (Trudy), Dennis (Phyllis), Laurette (George), Yolande, Jacqueline (Fred). He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Daniel and Genevieve (née Coté), son David (France), brothers; Marcel (Rachelle), Beaver, Raymond (Louise).
Leon loved Fishing, hunting, Stock Car Racing, golf, and Hockey (Go Habs).
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to WELLAND FUNERAL HOME. A private service will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donation to Leon’s Emergency Department - Welland Hospital Third Street would be greatly appreciated by the family.
