Obituary of Gertrude (Trottier) Ducharme
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gertrude Ducharme (nee Trottier) on Wednesday, January 6th, 2021, at the age of 87, at the Foyer Richelieu.
Beloved wife of Robert Ducharme, loving mother of Laval (Diane), Hélène, Mario (Jacqueline), Liette (Martin) and Sylvain (Joanne). Dear sister of Clothilde (Yval), Denise (late Armand) and Regis (Cécile). Cherished grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 7. Gertrude was predeceased by her first husband André Demers (1966), her parents Napoléon Trottier and Annette (nee Veillette) and many brothers and sisters.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Foyer Richelieu for the exceptional care given to Gertrude.
Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date. The Welland Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

C'est avec grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Gertrude Ducharme (née Trottier) mercredi, le 6 janvier, 2021, à l'age de 87, au Foyer Richelieu (Welland).
Épouse bien-aimée de Robert Ducharme, mère bien-aimée de Laval (Diane), Hélène, Mario (Jacqueline), Liette (Martin) et Sylvain (Joanne). Chère sœur de Clothilde (Yval), Denise (feu Armand) et Régis (Cécile). Grand-mère chérie de 12 petits-enfants et arrière-grand-mère de 7 arrière-petits-enfants. Gertrude a été prédécédée par son premier mari André Demers (1966), ses parents Napoléon Trottier et Annette (née Veillette) et de nombreux frères et sœurs.
La famille tient à remercier le personnel du Foyer Richelieu pour les excellents soins prodigués.
La crémation a eu lieu et un service aura lieu à une date ultérieure. La maison funéraire de Welland se charge des arrangements.
