Obituary of Ronald Leslie Hyde
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald Hyde on July 13, 2026 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital.
Ronald was the beloved husband of Gail Hyde (née Webster). Cherished father of Craig (Shellie) Hyde and stepfather of Sharon, Cheryl (Bruce), Ray and Charlene (Russell). Forever in the hearts of his granddaughters Saedie and Maizie. Ronald will be missed by his brother Garry (Glenda), as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his loving parents Leslie and Grace Hyde as well as his brother Larry (Annie) Hyde.
Ronald was a dedicated employee of Fleet Canada Inc. in Fort Erie for many years, where he worked as an aircraft fitter. He took great pride in his work and was respected by those who had the pleasure of working alongside him. His strong work ethic, reliability, and quiet dedication were qualities that defined both his career and his character.
Outside of work, Ronald found great enjoyment on the golf course. An avid golfer, he was a member of Cardinal Lakes Golf Club for the past six years, where he spent many happy days enjoying the game and the camaraderie of fellow golfers. Whether sharing a round with friends or simply appreciating a day outdoors, golf was one of his greatest passions.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 827 East Main St., Welland, ON. Donations in Ronald’s memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
