I have such wonderful memories of my Uncle Roger and our family Chirstmas's in Welland every year. I can still picture him sitting there with his siblings, telling stories and laughing out loud around the dining room table. Uncle Roger was always such a gentle soul, we'll all miss him so mucb.

Dear Michel, Roch and families
We are deeply saddened by the passing of dear Uncle Roger. He was such a sweet man always with a big smile and a joke whenever we saw him. My precious childhood memories of each Chrismas at Duncan Street in Welland with Uncle Roger and Aunt Micheline and cousins, will remain with me, always. Our deepest condolences to you all at this sad time.

Lors de mon arrivée à Welland en 1970 j'y fut acceuilli par Roger et Micheline. J'avais loué un apartement au sous-sol de leur maison sur la rue White. En 1971, Marguerite et moi avons loué une maison que Roger avait acheté à deux portes de la leur.. Merci Roger pour avoir si bien pris soin de moi pendant mes premières années à Welland.Je garderai toujours le souvenir d'un homme dévoué, intègre, jovial et toujours prêt à rendre service.Je suis certain que ta belle Micheline t'attendait à bras ouverts.

Cher mononcle Roger,
Habitant à Gatineau, je n’ai pas eu la chance de te voir aussi souvent que je l’aurais voulu, mais je garderai toujours de très beaux souvenirs de toi. Je pense que mon préféré restera celui où tu m’as amenée au casino pour mes 18 ans. Je n’aurais pas pu demander un meilleur partner pour vivre ce moment!
Ton départ m’attriste profondément, mais je me console en imaginant toute la gang qui va t’accueillir à bras ouverts là‑haut.

So sorry to hear of the lost of Messieur Dallaire. I was in all of his woodworking classes at E.S. Confédératiion in the early 1980s. I still have the bench I made in Gr. 9 and the model of a house construction. I would see him from time to time after that at Eglise-Sacré Coeur and he would always remember me. I continue to use my woodworking skills to this day! So glad to have had him as part of my education. My thoughts are with the family, particularly Roch who I went to school with and played tennis back in the day.

Michel, Roch, Gisele and family
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of uncle Roger. One thing is certain he loved and lived life to the fullest. I will cherish the many wonderful memories I have of him. Him helping my dad move my roommate and I to Ottawa to start our government careers. The many breakfasts Marcel and I had when Tante Micheline and him were at the Westin for business, a little gambling and some shopping. One memory that stands out was when I was on maternity leave for my daughter Stephanie and he took us on a road trip to the racetrack. He was laughing at my choices because I was picking horses because of their name, number or color. I will forever be thankful that Jean and I went to visit him the last time I was in Welland.
I am sorry I cant be there but please know you will be in our hearts.

Sincères condoléances pour le décès de votre père. Nous garderons toujours en mémoire son rire contagieux et son petit côté coquin, comme disaient si bien nos enfants.
Il était rassembleur pour la famille Dallaire. Je pense à tous ces beaux moments qu’il a créés, comme le tournoi de tennis Dallaire Invitational et la merveilleuse promenade en traîneau tiré par des chevaux. Ces précieux souvenirs d’enfance resteront avec nous toujours.
